hosts his prestigious G.D Drum Camp at LCCM September 12-13 2026

After over a decade of selling out all over Europe, DRUM CAMP is coming to UK audiences at LCCM London’s Music Box Venue, the absolute ideal location. Gabor is an active member of the UK Musician Union and Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. At Drum Camp he works with LCCM 2nd year students Jason Feenan and Oliveya “Kiko” Johnson as support staff.
The weekend Drum Camp will attract drum enthusiasts of all ages* and aspiring drummers from all over the UK and abroad. Both days will be advertised as “20 applicants only” to assure the attendees that they’ll receive enough personal attention on their progress.
*There will be no “age limits” to attend the event, but students under the age of 18 are required to attend with a parent/chaperone (who can attend in that capacity free of charge).
We encourage everybody to attend both days regardless of their current playing level.
Drum Camp will consist of:
Saturday 12 September 10am-4pm: Foundation Level
Sunday 13 September 10am-4pm: Advanced Level

ABOUT Gabor “Gabs’ Dornyei
Gabs has been the touring and recording drummer with 4x Grammy Award Nominated, American Virtuoso “Jazz Guitar Genius” Stanley Jordan since 2016. They’ve performed with World Class line ups around the globe.
Gabor has worked as the Budapest National Radio Big Band drummer for 4 years and recorded for Walt Disney Company on multiple occasions. Since relocating to the UK, he’s played on Gold and Platinum selling pop-rock albums and been the house recording drummer for top UK pop-producer Andy Whitmore, who’s produced Eric Clapton, Elton John, Lemahr, Peter Andre, Atomic Kitten, Terrence Trent D’Arby and many more.
Gabor has performed live at Glastonbury Festival, London Jazz Festival, Music China Festival in Shanghai, Dubai Opera House, Sziget Festival, Canary Wharf Jazz Festival, London Drum Show (Main Stage) Olympia Conference Centre, UK Drum Show (Main Stage) Liverpool ACC Arena & Conference Centre and literally countless other performances over the last 30 years. He’s performed at the biggest drum festival events on the line up with world class players, such as Billy Cobham, Peter Erskine, Gavin Harrison, Ian Paice, Steve Smith and many-many more.
Gabor has achieved a Level 7 (Master’s level) Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning (PGCERT) from the University of East London (UEL) and he’s a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. (FHEA) He’s been featured on leading Northern American online educational platforms, such as DRUMEO in (Vancouver, Canada), DRUMCHANNEL (Los Angeles, California) and MODERN DRUMMER MAGAZINE ( New York City).
Gabs has been invited to present drum clinics and masterclasses at every notable higher education organisation in the UK&EU, such as BIMM, (London, Bristol, Brighton, Dublin, etc) ICMP-London, ACM, DrumSense, Drumtrainer Berlin, Percussion Creative, and completed 10x masterclass/drum clinic tours of China.
Before joining as Head Of Drums, LCCM London, Gabor has been faculty at ICMP London for 15 years and completed drum camps with sell out success all over EU&UK.
In 2016 DRUMEO has listed Gabs between the Top10 Drummers in the World, together with his idols, Billy Cobham, Peter Erskine and Bernard Purdie.
